Multicrystalline silicon wafer is the key material used for producing solar cells. They are widely used in photovoltaic power generation, communication, transportation and power supply to remote residential areas, and can also be applied to solar light, lawn lamp, rooftop solar photovoltaic power generation, and other areas. When compared to monocrystalline silicon wafers, multicrystalline silicon wafers require lower purity of raw materials. The crushed silicon, which is produced in the production process of monocrystalline silicon wafer, can be used in production of multicrystalline silicon wafer.
Silicon residue can be purified by single crystal furnace, and is used to produce multicrystalline silicon wafer. Therefore, to appreciate production proportion of multicrystallin and monocrystalline silicon wafers, realization of inner cycle use of silicon materials can greatly reduce cost. Additionally, the configurations of our multicrystalline silicon wafers generally are 125mm*125mm and 156mm*156mm, with thickness of 200um.
